Jayne Bray  (The real Boss) Introduction

Jayne started agility in 1994 & has owned & competed with both Standard & Miniature Poodles, German Shepherd Dogs & Rough & Border Collies. Jayne has won 279 individual classes with 4 different dogs, taken 3 dogs to Advanced status in addition to qualifying 43 finals & amazingly winning 19 of them!  (Not all finals qualified are actually run).

Jayne is one of only two handlers to win Championship Certificates in both Miniature & Maxi finals, (The other being Alan!) & is the only handler to win the Eukanuba Crufts Challenge on three separate occasions plus has other major final wins at Olympia, Crufts & the Agility Club Knockout pairs.

Jayne is one of only a 4 handlers (which includes Alan) to qualify the Olympia finals with both mini & maxi dogs & together with Alan are the only handlers to achieve this in the same year, (Jayne in 2000 & Alan in 2004).

Agility Championships

Jayne & Portia are the first Pedigree Mini British Agility Champions & in 2001 became the first ever English, winners of a Mini Championship Certificate. Jayne holds the record number of mini tickets having won 6 Championship Certificates in 2003/02/01 plus a Reserve Championship Certificate in 2002 gaining entry into the Kennel Club Stud Book & competed in no less than 11 finals winning 6 of them!

Jayne qualified 2 finals with Raeven in 2004 at the Agility Club (E) & Newton Heath (E).

Crufts Show Finals

Jayne has qualified Raeven for the 2005 Crufts Senior Singles Agility final & Portia together with Alan & Tiggy in the Eukanuba Mini – Maxi Pairs final making it 8 years of qualifying Crufts in total. Jayne also qualified Raeven for the 2004 Crufts Championship.

However, it is Jayne & Portia who have reigned supreme at Crufts having successfully qualified for six different years & are unique in having won the Crufts, Eukanuba Challenge on 3 separate occasions, (No other handler or dog has won it twice yet). Overall wins were recorded in 2003, 2002 & 2000, (Portia had a litter in 2001). Jayne was Runner –up in 1999 after winning one of the heats & has also won two other individual Crufts Eukanuba heats in 1998 & 1997. Jayne was Runner-up in the Crufts 2002 Knockout final.

Olympia Finals

Jayne qualified days 2, 4 & 6 of the 2004 Pedigree Chum Olympia Stakes Semi – Finals with Raeven. She qualified day 2 of the 2003 Maxi semi –final with Raeven & in addition qualified the Mini semi –final with Portia. Jayne qualified for Olympia in 2002 & 2001 with Portia & in 2000 with both Buzzy & Portia. Jayne achieved the double there in 2002 by winning both the Mini dogs pairs final & the Mini individual final with Portia. She also won the Maxi dogs invitation pairs final in 2000 with Buzzy.

Other Finals

Jayne finished 4th in the 2004 Pedigree Chum Team Agility Relay final & qualified the Celebration Advanced Power & Speed final both these with Raeven.

Jayne qualified the 2003 Pedigree Pairs relay final by winning the Ribble heat in January with Raeven, the 2003 Highland agility final by winning the Dundee heat with Tiggy, won the 2002 Supadogs week Mini final with Portia, won the 2002 Agility Club Mini Pairs Knockout final with Portia & was Runner – up at the same event in the Maxi Pairs Knockout final with Buzzy.

League Competitions

Member of the 2003 Upanova Tigers club team who were the inaugural winners of the National Agility Club Premier Division League Championship title.

Finished 5th with Portia in the 2003 Agility Club Mini Dog of the Year, (Despite retiring in June), 4th in 2002, 3rd in both 2001 & 2000. She won both the 2002 & 2001 Midlands Agility Eye Mini Dog of the Year competitions & finished 7th in the 2001 Agility Club Handler of the Year. Jayne also won the Ash show tournament in 1997, (With Alan the Runner up!).
