Tiggy
was stolen for 6 months between March &
October 99 before being recovered through
the help of the Upanova Tigers club members.
After recovery Tigg qualified within a month
for Senior status by winning a
Supadog intermediate agility qualifier &
achieved Advanced status in 2000 at 3 years
old.
Tigg
sustained a groin and spinal injury through
hitting a tyre obstacle at full speed on
Mayday 2003 enforcing a two month absence.
Tigg returned in July to win the
Pedigree Chum Olympia Semi Final at the
Royal Show & qualify Olympia before
going on to help England win the 2003
International Home Championship the
following week where Tigg again suffered the
same injury by hitting the tyre obstacle
keeping her out for the rest of the season
until her come back at the Christmas 2003
Olympia finals.
She has
never been the same since these injuries
& has suffered further related injuries
keeping her out of the July 2004
competitions including the Pedigree Chum
Olympia Stakes Semi – Finals at the Royal
Show & then most of August & the
rest of the year.
Despite
her ongoing injury problems Tigg has
recorded 31 agility wins in 2004. She won 21 classes
by Mayday 2003 when
again she was forced to miss the remainder
of the calendar year through injury. Tigg
recorded 27 wins in 2002, 26 wins
in 2001 & has now won a total of
109 open, intermediate, senior &
advanced agility classes including winning,
16 Pedigree Chum Olympia Stakes agility
qualifying heats & qualifying for 74
finals winning 19 of them, (Not all
finals qualified are actually run).
International
Competitions
Tiggy
is a member of the 5 - strong England team
that won both the 2003 & 2002
ISDS Home Nations International
Championships. (There is not a 2004
competition). Tiggy was 2nd in
the 2003 team agility & with England
also taking the 1st & 4th
places, meant that this together with Tiggy
finishing 4th in the Jumping
& the other English dogs going clear was
enough to secure both the individual event wins
& overall Championship title.
In
2002 Tigg did the double by
individually winning both the team
jumping & agility competitions helping
England become the inaugural 2002 Home
Nations Champions.
Agility
Championship Finals
Tiggy has qualified the 2005 Crufts Championship,
won 2 Championship Certificate
Tickets & has qualified 6 finals in 2004
winning at Weardale & Rugby &
finishing 4th at Hinckley. She
qualified two finals in 2003, (Injury
preventing her competing from May onwards)
& 6 finals in 2002 where she won a
Reserve Championship Certificate & a
place in the KC stud book, gained 3rd
& 4th placings & won 6
of the agility heats en route to the final.
She also qualified two, 2001 Championship
agility finals winning 2 of the
agility heats en - route
Crufts
Show Finals
Tigg
has qualified the 2005 Crufts Senior Singles
final with 32 points & the Eukanuba Mini
– Maxi Pairs final together with Jayne
& Portia with 30 points after winning
both qualifying heats entered.
Tigg
was Runner – Up in the 2004 Crufts
Senior Singles final & qualified the
Knockout final. She won the 2003
Senior Singles final & qualified the
Knockout final.
She
qualified both the Crufts 2002 Senior
Singles / Knockout finals & the Eukanuba
Mini – Maxi pairs final together with
Carla Whyte & Spice but struggled with a
stomach strain
However,
Tiggy did complete an amazing double
at Crufts in 2001 by winning both
the Senior Single’s & Knockout finals
& also came 6th in the
Eukanuba Mini-Maxi pairs final with Angela
Carter & Lotti whilst also qualifying
the KCJO 2001 final with Hayley.
Olympia
Finals
Tigg
qualified days 1 & 3 of the 2004
Pedigree Chum Olympia Stakes Semi – finals
but had to withdraw because of injury but
also qualified days 4 & 5 where she won
day 4 to qualify for the Pedigree Chum
Olympia Stakes 2004 final.
Tiggy
won both a morning event & afternoon
semi final at the 2003 Royal Show to reach
the 2003 Pedigree Chum Olympia Stakes finals
where she won the Semi – final,
finished Runner – up in the final
& came 4th in the Power &
Speed final. She had qualified day 1 of the
2003 semi finals by winning the
Ribble qualifying heat in January & day
2 at the Vyne Mayday heat where she
sustained her groin & spinal injury
& she also won the CATS qualifying heat
as well.
She
won 3 Olympia semi-final qualifying heats in
2002, winning on day 3 to qualify for
the 2002 finals. She then did the double
at Olympia by winning both the
Saturday morning Semi – final & the
Saturday afternoon Pairs final, (Together
with Phil Hicks & Tazz). Tigg also
qualified all 6 semi- final heats in 2001,
(Run over 3 days only) where she won
both a morning event & an afternoon semi
final to qualify for the 2001 finals where
she won the Speed Jumping Grand Prix
& finished 2nd in the
Saturday morning semi-final before Alan got
her eliminated in the evening final &
she qualified 4 semi finals in 2000 winning one of the morning events.
Other
Finals
Tigg
qualified the 2004 Supadog individual final
but yet again had to withdraw through
reoccurring injury problems.
She
qualified the 2003 Pedigree Advanced
Power & Speed final, (But was unable to
compete due to injury) but finished 11th
in the 2002 final & 10th in
2001.Tigg had also qualified the 2003
Highland agility final with Jayne but had to
withdraw due to the injury & she had
also qualified the 2003 Supadog Individual
final before being injured & having to
withdraw from that as well.
Tigg
did qualify the Supadog final in 2002 winning
the morning agility event & had also
qualified in 2001 & 2000. She qualified
the 2002 Pedigree Gamblers final
by winning the Tunbridge Wells heat
& finished 6th in the final
itself. Tigg
qualified both the 2002 & 2001 Agility
Club Knockout finals (With Jayne & Buzzy),
finishing Runners – up in 2002
& the 2000 Longleat Derby.
At her
4th show in 1998 Tiggy won the
Beta open agility qualifier from 420 dogs to
qualify the 1999 final.

Dog of the Year after not scoring any points
from Mayday to the 30th September
which is the of the end of the season due to
the injury but Won both the 2002
Agility Club Dog of the Year & the
Agility Eye Midlands Advanced Dog of the
year & finished Runner – up in
the 2002 Agility Eye National Advanced Dog
of the year.
Finished
3rd in the Agility Club
& the Agility Eye Midlands &
National 2001 Dog of the Year & 4th
in the 2000 Novice, Agility Club Dog of the
Year. Tigg has also won two club league competitions & 2
Senior tournaments at Dundee in 2003 &
Bretford in 2000 over 3 classes on the same
day.
